Ah, this is such a great resource. I literally just found this group because I have a new blog...and haha, seems to be a usual problem. "I have a blog and no one knows about it."

It's nice to see we're all in the same boat. Also great to find other bloggers beginning their journey along with me!

ohh gosh.. it was really hard for me to get followers as well.. As I only started blogging more than a month ago, now I have quite a lot.. But from the very beginning I thought that this won't happen to me. And i disagree with saying, that just most of the people are following you back only because you followed them and commented some of their posts.. It depends on what you write about, what you share with others in your blog and how does your blog look like. Sometimes I follow some random blogs only because they look great, i like their design.. it has something inspiring... 
 But Blogging is fun, though! :)

@May That is great advice and very true!  I don't really have a lot of email subscribers, but I have grown in the amount of Facebook likes and my twitter and Pinterest is growing.  Some due to hops and others by being a part of forums like this.

OMG, 12 followers in a month?! I've been blogging for months but only have 3 followers! I too wonder why. :)
But I'm not too stressed over the numbers, because from my blog stats I know people are reading my blog. I guess I just have more silent readers. So, I just want to say, don't give up, and don't be discouraged! Keep blogging, if that's what you love to do!

I would definitely suggest linking to other blogs as much as possible. In return, some will link back to you, their readers see it, etc...

Comment on big brand Facebook posts that are relevant to your blog. Their readers see it, check you out, etc...

Pinterest is where it's at right now. If just ONE of your pinds goes viral, it could mean a lot of traffic to your site. Your "French Onion Soup Grilled Cheese" recipe is awesome. Pin that! ;)

The only problem I had with blog hops is that the lists got SO long, most people aren't clicking on the ones 50-100 down the list.

I would love to increase my readership as well. I am finding it a bit difficult. I do like coming on to the site and reading other blogs.  I have found some great blogs. I normally keep track of the blogs that I join and try to comment on them at least once every other week until I just never hear from them.  I love having tons of blogs to read and respond too.

I absolutely agree with this.  Especially in the mom blogger network.  Yeah - some of them may just be reciprocal follows, etc. But the more exposure you get the more likely you will be to get true followers.  Blog Hops are huge for me - and about 50% of those followers I get from blog hops come back.

I agree with the others who say it is the quality of your followers rather than how many - I love when we get comments on the blog, and always visit the blogger back and comment to them too!

I've been doing this for about 5 months and I am the only follower but then again I am not sure anyone wants to read what I have to say so its all about personality just relax it will come :)

I agree that it is difficult to get people to follow your blog. The few that I have following my blog is by being a participant on MBC follow me link. I follow people back who follow me.
