Hey all! I am Kelly also known as The Modern Bag Lady. I am a mother to 4 girls and 1 boy. My girls are all teenagers except the 12 year old(though you'd never know by her mouth). My son is 4 and very medically complex and most recently transferred from the ICU again to a pediatric rehab out of state. I began my blog to give the world a view inside what life is like for a mom like me and running a business as a Thirty One Consultant. My topics range from updates on my son, what I have been cooking and featured deals with my business. I believe in humor in all areas of life so you will find some in most of my posts.

Hi! I'm new here. In December 2017, my son was asked to leave his school because of some major behavioral problems. I quickly jumped into "Homeschool Mom" mode. We lived in Atlanta, GA and we had a great tribe of homeschooling friends. My husband had a great job, and we were on the way to buying our first home. Instead.... we sold everything, bought a camper, and hit the road for 4 months. We drove though 19 states, saw 19 National Parks, 20 National Monuments, 5 State parks. We saw a lot. We learned even more. People thought we were crazy (and amazing), and I guess we were (a little bit).
