I got an error message for weeks and then gave up for maybe a month. Then the other day I got as far as posting the code to my blog, but the RSS never picked it up. So, still in Technorati limbo. No advice, just here to commiserate.

Thanks for the sympathy, Lori and No Return Mom. I will try adding my blogspot address, Lori. But if that doesn't work, Technorati will just have to do without this mom blogger. I'm sure they'll be crying. ;0)

Don't worry too much about Technorati. It used to be the measuring stick by which bloggers were measured, but that's just not the case anymore. I've never fully used Technorati and have had great results not only the founder of this club, but as an individual blogger.

These days if you really want to get out there, use social networking sites to their fullest like Twitter and LinkedIn.

Jennifer, I'm not really sure how Twitter works to increase traffic and as a social networking tool. I signed up with Twitter, posted an update, got two people to follow me right away. They were both sleazy.

I guess you have to take the good with the bad but how does Twitter work, actually? Clueless in Twitterland :-)

Hi Melinda,

I had the same issue for awhile. But then I switched from IE to Firefox and that seemed to make it work, suddenly. If you're not using Firefox, try doing it that way and hopefully it will work for you too.

I have had the same problem. I got fed up and deleted it but I'm still on there. They are clearly having technical difficulty.

Well it's nice to know that I'm not the only one that has had trouble with the code. I gave up on it...but reading your replies gives me some hope so I will try again.

Yes twitter actually works. Use it to promote your blog. Follow other moms and hopefully they'll follow you back!

i gave up on them months ago... read a bunch of forums hoping for help (it stopped recognizing my blog when i purchased my domain). basically everything i read was 'don't waste your time, it can't be fixed'. which sucks, but in the big picture technorati doesn't mean much of anything.

I thought it might just be me, April, but it sounds like this is a widespread problem. I'm not going to waste any more of my time ... I've learned that Technorati is on its way out, in part, because of these kinds of annoying problems. I'm bloghopping tonight ... I'll come by and visit you1
