I have to cut out all dairy and soy to see if that's what my 4 month old is allergic to. I have a list of key words from the doctor to avoid on ingredient lists and I've been to Whole Foods already.

Does anyone have suggestions for on-the-go foods? Besides daily running around, I'm going to be traveling for 2 weeks over the holidays - I'll have access to a kitchenette all the time, but there will be long drives and plane flights too and I'll need some for portable snacks and what to do in restaurants.

I have an appointment to meet with a nutritionist in 3 weeks, but it is on the day we leave to start our travels!

I'll be at my mom's for 4 days, in a rental house with 15 other families (and shared meals) for 4 days, then 4 days in Denver in a hotel (with a kitchenette) - we live in Boston.

I had to do that when breastfeeding my youngest too... ultimately we couldn't find the triggers in my diet and switched her hypoallergetic formula (she immediately got better). Before I did, we tried elimination of dairy and soy (and everything else). My problem was keeping my calorie count high without my normal foods. My go-to food was homemade granola bars (oatmeal helped my supply) and ricecakes with soy-free peanut butter, I also ate a ton of homemade rolls. I hope you are able to keep your supply up with your diet changes. And that your vacation is a joy-filled one!
