I need to comment in other sites more, and get more personally.
Definitely quitting. I wish I had better post planning skills back then.

Waiting three years while I built a stockpile of archived content for a content-rich blog, until I finally set up the google friend connect, the facebook page, the twitter account and started my stat counter.

All my stats and so on would be MUCH higher if I'd started it at first, but I wanted so much to make a great first impression, that I thought it best to wait until I practically had a novel's worth of posts in.

I am a new blogger and I'm sure I've made plenty of mistakes.  However I have a question for those of you who listed using blogger instead of wordpress in the beginning.  I looked into wordpress but how do you make money with wordpress if you can't use adsense or any advertising on your blog?  That is my biggest concern.  I would really appreciate any feedback.

You can't have ads on wordpress.com (basically the WP equivalent of blogger), but when most people mention wordpress they are talking about the SELF-HOSTED wordpress.org.
Selling text links was a huge mistake for First Class Fashionista She has been recovering for a year now. Stop by and check her out! She loves new visitors.

I'm fairly new to blogging too since May. =/ I know I'm making lots of mistakes =/ I don't have a specific niche well at first I thought I did. Started the blog to help hopefully with our Etsy shop (hasn't worked). So still trying to figure ourselves out! =/ I just noticed someone mentioning about using girls in their name =( I just discovered after paying for a URL http://www.arizonagirls.org exactly what she was talking about when I accidentally put in .net =( Horrible horrible. I took off the jewelry and gifts (what we do) because I thought maybe that was a holdup on some visiting our blog. Where we do talk about and have a box showing our jewelry it's not "in your face" but I think people just seen that and didn't go any further "sigh" Chose the name because we live in Arizona and we are mother and daughter never thought of anything else =(

The next biggest mistake was jumping into to many things to fast! Thinking it would happen and it didn't. Now I belong to all these things all over the place and don't remember half of them or the info I used =/

Reading to much and of course so many different opinions was more confusing and frustrating =/

Have done a couple giveaways for other Etsy shops and I have fun doing them but I don't want to be just a giveaway and product review(not that I've had any yet)  blog....so still trying to figure it out =/ I also because of the girl/s in the url now know why we get and lose followers on twitter all the time hahaha That is funny though now that I finally figured it out on twitter ArizonaGirls was taken so I used GirlsArizona the disappointment for some that start following us hahaha

It's Ok to make mistakes or live life! Either way you want to word it thats how we grow right? I know without a doubt I will be making a lot more haha

Starting too late. I took too long to jump into blogging because I didn't think I had anything interesting to add that wasn't already being said. Lesson learned: everyone's voice matters.
I would have to say that aftera month of blogging, thatnot posting enough is the biggest mistake I've made so for. I'm trying to find ways to fix that since it is mostly a recipe blog. I'm still learning and have a lot to learn.
Thinking that I could blog everyday and thinking that was the only way I could get lots of traffic!!! Learnt my lesson pretty quickly though that posting everyday was just not possible! Its kinda like expecting to have sex everyday, you just can't maintain that!!!!LOL!!

LOL! Totally agree with this! I get as much traffic posting once or twice a week than I did when I posted daily....and I don't get burnt out.

Having my blog email connected to my old email through google.  I use my personal email more than I should since I can't change my email on google.  Still trying to figure all of that out.
