Too Many Requirements for Giveaways?

I'm curious as to how you decide what is mandatory for someone to enter your giveaway?

I've seen some bloggers who require folks to 'like' facebook pages, tweet, follow on GFC (google friend connect), AND leave a comment for a prize. Do you think that's fair? Just curious.

I'm with the rest of you, I won't enter a giveaway that has too many requirements for a mandatory entry. Because I've seen more and more bloggers do that (and I do understand they are trying to promote themselves or the product), I always do my best to make sure I have a lot of entry options, none of which are a requirement for entry. Technically, when dealing with sweepstakes entries and such, their has to be a "free method of entry," so I always try to have my first entry option be something totally generic that doesn't require Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Personally, I don't like giveaways that require you to do 2045807 different things to enter. I don't have time for it and I usually pass on entering. I've had a few giveaways on my blog and I don't make anyone do anything to enter, besides leave a comment.. I just nicely ask for people to follow me or something simple like that, but they don't have to.
