What are your thoughts on online bashing, hating and mommy wars?

Have you ever experienced online wars with another parent or a non-parent?

What are your thoughts on this hating and bashing online when it comes to parenting topics and differences?

We are all parent bloggers here. I've read a lot of posts and comments that became too personal when it comes to differences of preferences and choices.

Motherhood opens new doors and widens my perspective when it comes to different aspects of life in general but reading some comments and opinions made me think, does it really widens the perspective?

I feel you. It's really sad to read comments that are too personal, rude and nasty. We have to realize that as part of a social group that is devoted to certain advocacy we still have to respect other people's opinion.

Unfortunately, most online bullies (sadly some moms are) are not really open into understanding both sides.

True. I wish moms here are not being bullied online because of their posts and thoughts on certain matters.

Motherhood has the potential of widening your perspective. I mean becoming a mom is life changing! However for some people Motherhood may not cause the same life altering experience. Melina made an excellent point. "Perspectives are only widened when people are able to listen.."

True! Being a mother is very life changing but not all women embrace it like a privilege but more of a responsibility.It's great to hear opinions from fellow moms like you.

I really hate online bullies. I was also a victim of that many times before and I tend to fight back especially when I'm in a bad mood but later on I realize that I don't need to entertain these kinds of people because it's just a waste of my time and energy. I'd rather do more things more productive than having a heated argument with no actual benefit in return. So what I do is I report these people to the admins and I just ignore them.
