A mother is someone who provides love, health-care, good food, education, parenting, shelter, a playmate, a companion. A mother is someone a child can turn to when she has problems, when her button drops off or when she had outgrown her shoes. A mother is a good listener and a cook. A mother is often the closest person to a child.

a mother is a person who nurtures and cares for her/his child. why does being a mother have to be limited to gender.
