What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

So many mom bloggers are in different phases of blogging. Some are brand-new to blogging and consider it a hobby. Other moms have been blogging for years and now consider it a hybrid between a hobby and a job. And some mom bloggers approach their blogs strictly from a business point of view.

For me blogging is a very new hobby..one that is taking up way to much of my time! Truly enjoying the ride so far :)

For me, it is a combination of job and hobby. I started to keep my website content fresh, for SEO purposes. I really struggle with coming up with topics that are somewhat related to "I used to be cool", but once I get to writing, I love it. The blog has turned into my favorite part of my business. People email me after reading the blog about how they can relate and I love it.

A little bit of both for me. But I consider more like a hobby since I do it for fun. I started a web design business, My Design Workbench, for bloggers about six months ago and made few clients. Recently, I just opened my crochet website which I feature my finished product there, SweetPeaToad.

The hardest thing though is finding visitors and subscribers. It involves lots of hard work.

For me blogging is a natural extension of my freelance writing efforts, and as such I view it as a job of sorts. I would love to make money for blogging at some point too!
I'm still new to it though and just trying to get my footing.

I have two separate blogs to address my separate needs. I have my business blog which focuses on that and happenings in the doll world. Then I have my personal blog where I talk about anything and everything. Before blogging was a chore, now I enjoy it because I have a focus and a purpose to my blogging.

Very much a hobby, but I've only been blogging since February. If I had the chance to do it full-time, I'd love that, but it's not what I aspire to.

for me it's a little bit of both. I love to blab about my babies and share my mommy adventures, so that makes it a hobby. I also have amazon product and adsense in there also which makes it a revenue generator.

there's a saying that goes "Find something you like to do and you wont have to work another day"

I also have other online business like http://staycationdirectory.com/ , http://passionoir.com/ and my http://supermomplace.com/ where I blab. :)

quick advice for those who want to make blogging a business: Treat your blog as you would treat your business.

I think it is alittle bit of both. But mostly I do it for fun, to make friends. I recently am getting in the market of reviewing books for authors. I am bit excited for that. I would like to review products now. It takes research and getting your blog address out there I guess.

Its a little of both, I do freelance for a couple of sites to pay the bills, but my personal site isn't monetizing much right now.

I blog to keep my family and friends back home updated.. I enjoy reviewing products as well. I am really into natural parenting, cloth diapering, and organic living, so I enjoy blogging about that as well.

It was 100% hobby for me when I started. However, I've recently started bringing the content "on the road" doing small life balance workshops. I did one last night in Boston with about 20 amazing women; unbelievably rewarding (and fun!)
