Hi! I'm a former magazine editor, now a stay-at-home mom, freelance writer and new mom blogger. After I got laid-off I debated for a long time whether I should start a blog or not, and I finally took the plunge! I really missed writing and needed an outlet. One day I hope to write a memoir about my experience with infertility and pregnancy loss (I went through seven IVFs and 5 miscarriages). Check out my blog http://www.foggymommy.com/ and I look forward to reading yours as well!

Hello everyone. I hope that everyone is being productive and steadily working on their various projects.  It’s been challenging for me recently but I am trying to maintain a positive outlook on things and press on with my projects, although they are moving slower than I would like.  I have been working on reigniting my creative spark and trying to get back to the basics of my writing career which includes focusing a little less on social media.  I have written quite a few new blog posts since last posting here so I hope that you all will go check them out at http://write-2-be.com/ and also check out the latest issue of my online magazine, http://write2bemagazine.com/

I hope that you all will check it out and please follow and leave a comment with a link to your blogs because I am always looking for new blogs to follow and even to feature in my Write 2 Be Magazine.  For updates on Write 2 Be Magazine you can also like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page and become a part of the magazine!  If you are expressly interested in having your blog featured in Write 2 Be Magazine please like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page and leave a link to your blog there.  I look forward to reading your blogs!

Hello everyone…. I have been hard at work but yet it feels like I have gotten absolutely nothing done.  Guess it’s a good thing that writers can write in their mind even when it doesn’t get put on paper, lol.  Please go check out my latest blog posts in which I wrote about living in the moment that you are in and celebrating where you are in your life now, about watching the circle of people that you surround yourself with and protecting yourself from people who are against you and what you stand for, and also about not placing our opportunities in boxes to be put on a shelf and learning how to ask God for what it is we want in this life and knowing that we deserve all that it is we want out of it.

So please show your support and check out my latest blog posts on my Write 2 Be blog and let me know what you think.  Also please go and check out the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!

Okay so I am trying to get everything back on track and get myself motivated again.  I have come to the realization that I am not working nearly as hard as I should be or could be and I am looking to change that.  I have wasted far too much time trying to fit in with what others think my goals should be and know that I was never meant to be a part of the pack but rather standing out from them.  I have let my frustration at the lack of progression that I am seeing get the better of me and was failing to understand that I will wait for this dream to happen as long as it takes because that is my purpose in this world.  I am trying my best to lead by example for my daughter and implement in her not just the drive for her dream but that she was to put work into that driving force as well.  I was reminded of my initial influence in my writing career when Dr. Maya Angelou passed away last week and also of the fact that at some point you just have to understand that the fear will always be present.  You just can’t keep acting as if it’s not there and try to hide from that fear.  I understand with more clarity that with every victory that you achieve, there are battle scars that go along with them that you just have to embrace.  Fear cannot be sugarcoated or disguised as anything other than what it is.

The last several weeks have been stressful and challenging.  As a writer, technical difficulties such as having your internet not working is pretty much like throwing several wrenches into all the work that you are doing.  Since most of what I do I need the internet for I literally felt a little crippled in my craft.  But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t manage to get out a few blog posts during that time (that’s what libraries are for right, lol).  I questioned myself or more over had my choices of following my dream questioned by many people in the last few weeks so my posts were about sustaining my dreams, being optimistic even through challenges, seeking greatness and not mediocrity, taking better care of myself for creativity’s sake, listening to that inner voice, being halfway through the year with not many tasks checked off my goal list, and what the other side of quitting would look like to me.

The last few weeks have been….interesting.  I had a big opportunity for me slip right through my fingers and losing that opportunity made me want to give up completely.  I literally felt like there was just no point to me being so determined to achieve something that didn’t appear to be working out as well as I feel it should be.  It certainly was in my own plans and delayed me in my current goals and projects and what I was trying to achieve.  I took some time and eventually came to my senses.  I am no now, nor have I ever been, a quitter.  I have worked hard to come this far and even though I don’t feel like I have come as far as I should have by now, it certainly is not where I started off at.  There are some habits that I am working on changing and as I am altering those habits I am starting to feel my mind racing with ideas again.
