Are you using blogger? If so, the go to layout and select "add gadget". You will choose the gadget for html/java script. Add the code in the window and save it. The button will show up in the side bar. You can then grab the left side of the rectangle that has the gadget with your mouse and move it to the desired location. Hope this helps. You can also use the Blogger help forum. They are very good and will usually reply quickly.
