Tutoring, teaching, and motherhood go hand in hand when I teach my daughter about the wonders of nature in Spanish. Love to teach Spanish and science. Learning through play is the most fun.

Let the Summer reading continue with this list of great reading. I found that the small board books are best for infants and the books with CD works great with small children. It's also a great activity to do together by reading along the story. Don't forget to mention the different little body parts.

What's happening with technology & the classroom???

Funny, should help you make faster calculations, help you explore more places and help you discover the World. But is that really happening nowadays??? As I see this funny cartoon, I do see that the classroom has become so high-tech but are we really missing the point to teach. To really gather everyone in groups for discussions and exchange ideas & concepts. You even see computers for toddlers at local libraries!!! That's advancement but so is literature and excellent…

Hi! No, I don't speak a second language. I spent a year in Sweden as an exchange student and just started getting comfortable with speaking Swedish when it was time for me to come home. I didn't meet a lot of Swedish speakers so I lost it pretty quickly. My husband is fluent is Spanish though. He spent a couple of years in Uruguay and works in landscaping here in AZ so he uses it all the time. I have a very limited basic grasp of Spanish; I took two years in high school and 2 years in College. I do plan on teaching my children Spanish. Maybe we could collaborate on our blogs as I have plenty of Spanish speaking au pairs just dying to teach their kids Spanish. Let me know.
