Sometimes I think my toddler has selective hearing. I guess this is what being two-and-a-half means. She hears what I'm saying but doesn't care. She knows what I want her to do (or not to do), but thinks to herself, "Yeah, really don't care, Mom! Let's see what I can get away with!" This todteen stage is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! I truly love constantly repeating, "What did I just say!?"

Milestones. As a parent, you think about them, worry about them, and celebrate them.

For me, there are some that make me swear like a drunk sailor in my head:

1. When your infant is suddenly able to roll very quickly, and you can no longer just place her on the couch and walk into the bathroom! “Shit! Thank God the floor is carpeted!” (Don’t lie, parents! Some of you have had a child fall from an elevated surface. I’ll take one for the honest mom team and confess!)

My second daughter will be seven months on the 26th. I had a moment the other day, while watching both of my girls “playing” on the floor, that made me feel so content. Content with my two girls and our family of four. My husband and I agreed that we’d wait until the first birthday to decide if a surgery (damn straight for him!) will take place.
