What is your blog name?
Degrees of Maternity
What is your blog URL?
Do you have another web site? What's the name?
In 2020, I opened my Etsy shop called Degrees of Maternity.
Twitter URL
What is your site's URL?
Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I have combined two areas of focus that I’m extremely passionate about (writing and my role as a mother) and created a welcoming platform that will provide beneficial information and insight that is useful to families all over the world. My hope is that the love I have for being a mother will shine throughout Degrees of Maternity.
What are three things moms should know about your blog?
1) My blog is all about positive messaging . . . encouraging others to make incremental lifestyle changes for their betterment . . . one step at a time.

2) I've provided a goal-setting e-book, called the "Degrees of Maternity Travel Pack", available on my blog. It's absolutely free and offers you doable productivity tips and suggestions. I'd love for you to check it out under my post, entitled "Goal-Setting Freebie with Productivity Tips".

3) I’ve been chronicling my book writing journey under the blog categories "DOM Writer's Block: A Writer's Journey" and “DOM Build-a-Book Project,” and it’s been amazing to go back and see all the knowledge I’ve gained since the beginning of my book writing journey in February 2019. My debut book, Playground Instruction for the Growing Adult, is now available on; and I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think of my first attempt at self-publishing.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I wholeheartedly believe that bloggers should write about topics they are truly passionate about. As I noted in my very first blog post, bloggers have an incredible responsibility to deliver value-added content. They can “motivate...instruct...inspire...encourage...lead by example...welcome others into their lives...positively affect change”. I hope to successfully accomplish all of these noteworthy assignments through Degrees of Maternity.
I have been blogging since...

Blogging Truths Be Told: Chasing the New Shiny Object

Chasing the Shiny Balls

Originally published on Degrees of Maternity blog on 2/26/21:

I picked the following quotes from a previously posted blog post, just to show you that same-old same-old thought processes have a way of resurfacing over and over again. And you have to be able to recognize when they creep up on you and try to enter into that mindset of yours, especially if they're those unfavorable types of thought processes that you need to immediately squash…

The Book Writing Plan Has Surfaced

Originally published on Degrees of Maternity blog on 2/23/21:

In last Tuesday's post, DOM Build-a-Book Project: A Book Begins with a Plan, I told you that I'd come back as the ma'am with the plan. And yes, that's me alright. I'm here, before you, with my high-level, tentative plan for the current DOM Build-a-Book project for the incentives book.

As you…

Blogging Truths Be Told: When You're Just Not Feeling It . . .

Posted on April 7, 2021 at 10:06pm 0 Comments

After falling asleep at my computer last night, while working on the original "Blogging Truths Be Told" post for today and then waking up in the wee hours of the morning to use the bathroom, here's what came to me. Instead of continuing to rework the post I had before me, I decided to scrap it altogether. I decided to pick up my handy dandy phone, audio record myself sharing a few thoughts about blogging to my blogging audience, and then transcribe those words that morning to my blog site.…

DOM Build-a-Book Project: A Book Begins with a Plan

Posted on April 7, 2021 at 9:41pm 0 Comments

Before I go any further with the DOM Build-a-Book market research, it's time to put the breaks on, stand still for a moment, and take on that whole "ma'am with a plan" outlook for this current book baby I'm trying to nourish and grow. I was so completely ready to feed this bookling a full course meal with plenty of meaty content before even giving it milk to start off with, but . . .

Okay, enough of my baby analogies. What I'm getting at here is the idea that I can't put the cart…
