Freebie Friday: Daily Schedule Template

For today's Freebie Friday, I wanted to revive a freebie (with a slight tweaking) that I've presented before on this blog (quite some time ago though). And, it's relevant now like it was way back when. I'm currently taking advantage of this template for my own personal purposes, as I find me and Little Man (my 10-year-old son) in need of some structure during the summer break from school, officially entered into as of a week ago today.I find that I have different schedules for different seasons…See More

Freebie Friday: Monthly Expense Report

Happy Friday, All! I'm excited to be bringing another one of my freebies to you today. And, it was totally inspired by a need for organization. My purse has been a hot mess for several weeks, due to the fact that I had mounds of receipts stuffed into it from all of the different financial transactions that occurred over the course of those weeks. Now, I never really kept a manual balance of my incoming and outgoing cash flow from my checking account, because I've pretty much utilized automated…See More

Freebie Friday: Simple 5 Ingredients or Less Recipes

Happy Friday! What a treat I have for you today. I'd like to call it recipe cards for 5 simple-to-make recipes of 5 ingredients or less. Finally, I'm presenting you with a blog post that you can really sink your teeth into. Now, I can't take full credit for these recipes, because all of them were originally found online or in a cookbook of recipes, but I've tweaked each one of them to use per my family members' preferences. And, you can take these same recipes and adjust them to meet the needs…See More

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I have combined two areas of focus that I’m extremely passionate about (writing and my role as a mother) and created a welcoming platform that will provide beneficial information and insight that is useful to families all over the world. My hope is that the love I have for being a mother will shine throughout Degrees of Maternity.
What are three things moms should know about your blog?
1) My blog is all about positive messaging . . . encouraging others to make incremental lifestyle changes for their betterment . . . one step at a time.

2) I've provided a goal-setting e-book, called the "Degrees of Maternity Travel Pack", available on my blog. It's absolutely free and offers you doable productivity tips and suggestions. I'd love for you to check it out under my post, entitled "Goal-Setting Freebie with Productivity Tips".

3) I’ve been chronicling my book writing journey under the blog categories "DOM Writer's Block: A Writer's Journey" and “DOM Build-a-Book Project,” and it’s been amazing to go back and see all the knowledge I’ve gained since the beginning of my book writing journey in February 2019. My debut book, Playground Instruction for the Growing Adult, is now available on Amazon.com; and I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think of my first attempt at self-publishing.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I wholeheartedly believe that bloggers should write about topics they are truly passionate about. As I noted in my very first blog post, bloggers have an incredible responsibility to deliver value-added content. They can “motivate...instruct...inspire...encourage...lead by example...welcome others into their lives...positively affect change”. I hope to successfully accomplish all of these noteworthy assignments through Degrees of Maternity.

Back to Natural Basics (in Content Creation): Focus on the Right Stuff (cont.)

Posted on January 18, 2021 at 10:52am 0 Comments

Folks, I have to do this before moving on with another topic of discussion. Okay, I have a bit of trickle over from last Friday's post, Back to Natural Basics (in Content Creation): Focus on the Right Stuff. And, I thought I'd share it with you briefly today. So, I'm interrupting today's regular "Lessons Learned" programming to finish up on some thoughts from…

Back to Natural Basics (in Content Creation): Focus on the Right Stuff

Posted on January 18, 2021 at 10:41am 0 Comments

If I were to define "the right stuff", I'd have to explain it as the "stuff" you're good at, you enjoy doing, and that's most important. So, when I think about going back to natural basics in content and product creation, I'm forced to pay attention to those activities that will hit all three criteria and concentrate my efforts there. Conversely, such focus will require me to take the spotlight off of those activities that aren't propelling me forward in the right creative direction…

Lessons Learned #4: Create Rewards Systems to Incentivize the Young Reader and Writer

Posted on January 13, 2021 at 7:54am 0 Comments

Lesson #4: Creating rewards systems for reading and writing is a value-added proposition.

Let's face it. We, adults, need incentives from time to time; and we especially need some external motivation when it comes to completing challenging or unpleasant tasks. So, wouldn't the same premise apply to the younger versions of ourselves -- our children? And when our children struggle with certain directives, assignments, or tasks, I would imagine that incentives could be…

Back to Natural Basics: Returning to My First Creative Love – Writing

Posted on January 13, 2021 at 7:36am 0 Comments

Happy Friday, All! I’ve missed my sharing sessions with you so very much, but I’m back. And, I’m back with a whole full circle outlook on my next steps for Degrees of Maternity. After taking some much-needed time off to spend with my family, I have such a clearer understanding and determination in how I’m to proceed for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. That understanding has led me right back to how I started off with Degrees of Maternity in its infancy — that’s with a concentrated focus…
