Hi Kristen,
Yes, the dog in the avatar is a member of the R.E.A.D. Program (Reading Education Assistance Dogs). My daughter read a book to him at the library. Dogs in the program help children develop confidence in reading aloud and encourage children to get interested in reading. Thanks for asking.
