How To Improve Your Sanity During the Covid Crisis

It’s unbelievable. While it seemed that life was about to finally get back to normal with the gradual opening of states, all of a sudden an uptick in COVID-19 cases has hit the country like a tidal wave. While many governors have vowed not to completely shut down states again many are still not fully opened. And, to…

To be sure, becoming an entrepreneur during a time when everything is uncertain might not be the best time to begin a business. Sometimes,…

The Subtle Art of Moving During the Holidays

We already know that the holidays while fun can also be one of the most stressful times of the year. There are decorations that need to be hung, relatives to host, presents to buy, food to prepare and ultimately expectations to uphold. Add all of that to moving and you just might lose your mind. Never fear,…

I'm a 30-something mom of three boys living in the Midwest, working from home as a freelance writer/editor and pro-blogger for, and I love bad horror flicks and sappy dramas, but don't watch a ton of TV. My family is my world and my blog is my passion.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I loving blogging, because it's a therapeutic creative outlet that has the power to move people to hysterical laughter or soft, understanding sobs. Mom bloggers are incredible, because they give 500% to their families and still find the time and drive to share their stories and perspectives to the masses!

Seven Weeks to an Unforgotten Valentine's Day

Christmas is over.

You’ve nursed your New Year’s hangover…or in my case…did your New Year’s laundry.

Once you’re finished breathing that sigh of relief that the big holidays are through, it’s time to turn your sights to Valentine’s Day. Not so much getting your shopping done, because every woman is quite

aware of the…

Reflections of a Roller Coaster Decade

As I sit here, surrounded by my family, I can’t help but reflect on what a delicious and torturous decade this has been.

When 2000 began, I was a newlywed, barely 20-year-old, rose-colored glasses wearing ass-clown. I had no idea what being a true adult was like, but, boy-oh-boy did I think I had it whipped. Not so much. After a

Jessi, I would love for you to review my book.  Which one were you interested in? I did answer your original posts but got no replies.  Which book, depends on how old your boys are.  If you e-mail me at: - we can chat further.   I have quite a few that are picture books, and one new mid=grade adventure especially written with boys in mind.  You can check them all out from the link in my signature.

Jessi, it depends on whether you want to self publish or look for a traditional publisher. Your book would fit well into a niche market if you self publish, or, you could look for publishers that print books about religion.
Do you belong to a critique group? The writing feedback and support they offer is wonderfully helpful. Is the book finished? If you would like to chat further, contact me here: - we can chat further.

Jessi, I have sent you a Friend request + also following you now.

How old are your three boys?  "Taconi and Claude" is a mid-grade adventure.   Having boys in the 10 to 14 age range read it would be terrific. Have you read the sample page?
