Hi Kate,
I checked out your blog and really enjoyed it (I think I'm going to be walking around all day with the phrase 'Petunia Peppers Picture Day' stuck in my head). I was also totally intrigued by the review of 'How to help Parents and Kids get over the Fear of Math'. Awesome! I am a teacher, mom, and children's book author. My latest book EAT YOUR MATH HOMEWORK: RECIPES FOR HUNGRY MINDS (Charlesbridge, July 2011) is along the same lines. In it, I pair cooking with math concepts. The idea is to get kids to love what they are doing- math- and to erase the fear that lots of kids (and adults) have about math. My blog on this topic is linked to my website: www.annmccallumbooks.com Thanks again for your terrific blog- I love it!
Thanks, Kate. I just stumbled upon this site and thought it looked interesting. I see you are a book lover, too. My husband and I both love to read. We have both recently written books, as well. Mine is a marriage book, and his is an active adventure book. If you think either looks like something you'd like to read, we'd be happy to send you a free review copy of either or both. Check them out at http://prescottpublishing.org and let me know.
Blessings,
Jennifer
