My name is Katie. I live in a teeny, tiny town but I spend a lot of time dreaming of living somewhere larger or at least traveling often. My husband is a small-town boy and both an optometrist and an optimist. He’s also the most patient person I have ever met.
I wrote professionally for a while as a newspaper reporter and later as a corporate communicator before landing in another field of work. I started this blog as a creative outlet and a chance to continue my first love: Writing. (My other loves in no particular order are: My miniature schnauzer, my daughter, my husband, Diet Pepsi, Metallica, feminist literature, sushi, pedicures, and traveling.)
What is your blogging philosophy?

Thanks for the friend request! Love you blog. We have a few common loves :) I was an English Major & write on my now nonexistent free time now (used to write a lot more back in the day). Have a great rest of your Monday!
Hi Katie thank you for the warm welcome. I am so grateful to have the ability to get so much information and help not just for blogging but for life. I just moved from NY to FL and know nobody but family. This move was sudden and we did not have time to plan. I know so many strong women will have wise words for how to adapt - and thrive. Thank you agin I love your site. All the best April :)
Hey there! I just found out I was nominated for The Lovely Blog Award by a fellow blogger. The stipulation is to nominate 15 other blogs, and I chose yours as one of the winners! :) You can check it out here:
