Share a little something about yourself with other moms.: My name is Katie. I live in a teeny, tiny town but I spend a lot of time dreaming of living somewhere larger or at least traveling often. My husband is a small-town boy and both an optometrist and an optimist. He’s also the most patient person I have ever met.

I wrote professionally for a while as a newspaper reporter and later as a corporate communicator before landing in another field of work. I started this blog as a creative outlet and a chance to continue my first love: Writing. (My other loves in no particular order are: My miniature schnauzer, my daughter, my husband, Diet Pepsi, Metallica, feminist literature, sushi, pedicures, and traveling.)
