About me

I am an American who fell in love with New Zealand during a visit in 1993 and returned in 2001 to reside permanently. My humble home overlooks Little Oneroa beach where I live with my three stunningly beautiful, intelligent daughters 15, 12 and 4 and my dashing life partner, James.

I enjoy travel, child advocacy and all things impractical. I currently write, relieve teach, volunteer and raise my daughters. Mostly, though, I walk the beaches filled with gratitude for this blessed life.

My most recent project is a set of math books, written in verse, with beautiful illustrations to help children understand basic math functions. It was a project that was very, very insistent and inspired. there is nothing in this world like it. If you would like to check it out...

In the middle...

I am a middle child. They say the worst placement is in between girls. I had the experience of being a little sister and a big sister. I had the experience of being in between two very different people. I have the gift being able to see many points of view.
