I've been working at home since 1998 and have been writing about it on TelecommutingJournal since 2006. My blog site was born out of a desire to answer the many questions I get about what it's like to work at home as well as to help others who are looking for alternative work solutions.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I like to think I provide information that isn't readily available elsewhere, along with real-life experiences and reviews of anything pertaining to working where I live and living where I work.
I don't consider myself a professional blogger for two reasons: 1. I didn't start out to have blogging as a source of income and 2. I don't make much money at it even though I have tried to implement some revenue generating features lately. BUT, I do love to write and publish content that interests me. I also love the interaction that blogging encourages. There's never enough time in the day to devote to blogging (and learning about blogging).
Wow! The last time I posted here was in July?! It doesn't seem like that long ago yet here we are six months later, well on the way to the holidays. I generally try not to be sidetracked by social sites during my work time and had actually gotten online to knock out the last little bit of my Christmas shopping. . . yet here I am!

After ten years of working at home, you'd think I would no longer consider myself a newbie. But here I am again, joining another site where I can interact with others (all moms, yeah!) and feeling ever so much like a newbie all over again.
