Monica has worked in various fashion-related events including being the creator of Fashionista Flea Market (a yearly and seasonal outdoors event that offers new fashion, amazing chic second-hand clothing and accessories, one of a kind shopping experience with great prices, great fashion and great fun). Additionally she hosts shopping parties, style events, fashion forums, trunk shows and recently selected to be a panelist for Digital Sisterhood Focus Group discussing how women in social media discuss fashion, beauty, hair, and lifestyles.
She is a contributing writer and fashion trend reporter for various fashion and lifestyles magazines including The Examiner.com (working out of the nation's capital - Washington, D.C.), she contributes to the DC Ladies fashion blogs and is Contributing Modeling Camp Correspondent for the Fashion Flyer style newsletter; she works to develop stories and layouts, featuring new trends in both fashion and accessories.
While her penchant for fashion may have started back in the days of playing dress up in her aunt's vintage heels, it certainly blossomed through her teens and she’s never stopped accessorizing! She has her eyes and ears to the pavement, forecasting fashion trends and searching for the soul of fashion whether she is tracking designers, hitting up thrift and consignment stores or scouring vintage magazines.
