- My children26 and 18 years have flown the coop. Finding myself with an empty nest, I had a mothers need to fill it. I live in New Hampshire and got a phone call from the SPCA in Connecticut to say there were two english dog puppies who need to be adopted. I had a reputation for being a loving and caring mother to other english bulldogs in the past and my last one had just passed on. I got the call on Thursday afternoon and was in Connecticut the next day briing home my new babies, Jack and Jill. No longer did I have an empty nest and I became a full time mom once again. There is nothing like motherhood!
