Myths and Storytelling, Part Three

Storytellers have woven their tales throughout time. Minstrels used to sing stories as they played their instruments and danced down the cobblestone streets of their town. Cervantes is famous for writing the first “modern novel” in the 1600’s and he created Don Quixote. He was a man who lived in tumultuous times in Spain. His main characters criticized the government,…See More

Myths and Storytelling, Part Two

I believe that myths, legends and all our amazing storytellers have created (and continue to create) the very fabric of human experience. This second blog in our series will explore the timeless legends and stories of Robin Hood and Rudyard Kipling.History gives us clues to the possibility of a Robin Hood existing in the 13th Century possibly originating from Scotland.…See More

All types of Writers

Well my daughters and grandchildren all started on line school this week and I know the teachers are trying very hard to teach and help their students. I know this because both of my daughters are teachers and writers. My oldest is a bilingual teacher with 3rd graders and has one novel published and is now working on another one ( and she has a blog). My youngest daughter is a college professor and is helping her 13 year old son navigate online learning and working on producing her 2nd film. My…See More

I am the mother of two beautiful daughters who now have
3 beautiful babies of their own. I spend 4-6 hours a day during the week with my grandchildren. I was a teacher for learning disabled students for 23 years and I have been writing for over 15 years. I teach workshops for teachers to help them learn how to be happy and change education from a completely different perspective. I am also a Reiki Master and teach class once a month at my home in the Rocky Mountains.
What are three things moms should know about your blog?
1) I am really interested in MANY things so I have two websites so I can cover synchronicity, coincidences, signs and symbols, reiki, children, chess, writing, storytelling and publishing.
2) I love to teach. So I have workshops at my home and soon in my Yurt on my 5 acres.
3) I understand children of all ages and love the thought of them reading and enjoying books of all types.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I love to write and blog on both of my websites. I am just getting into the world of blogging beyond the people who follow me because of my books.
I have been blogging since...

Thank you for your welcome, Patricia. I was also a special ed teacher, finishing at the university level and never knowing how to retire. Please visit my blog at www.grownmannow.com and you will see my son Billy, who is my hero, and the things we are involved in.

It's great to find a friend who is also passionate about teaching.

Welcome to Mom Blogger's Club! I hope you enjoy your time here and find it helpful! I know it can be overwhelming at first but I promise, you'll be a pro on here in no time! I write a blog called The Adventures of J-Man and MillerBug. It's a blog about my life with my two boys and I do some pretty cool giveaways (OK, I think they're cool! Do you?)

Every weekend I host the Finding New Friends Weekend Blog Hop. It's a great way to find new followers and friends as well as get to know more of your fellow mom bloggers. If you're not familiar with a blog hop, all you have to do is add your blog to the list. Participants then "hop" from blog to blog to find great new blogs! It's a ton of fun! I'd love to have you join us. It's going on now so come on over and link up! You can find it here:http://www.jmanandmillerbug.com/2011/10/finding-new-friends-weekend-blog-hop_27.html#more. Be sure to leave a messge if you join up so that I can follow you back!

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with anything in your blogging journey! I look forward to being your friend!
