"I think it's important to set up a little work area for each child. I have 3, so I put them in different areas of the house. They each have a desk, laptop, school supplies, etc. I think it helps them to focus."

My daughter just turned 9, and over the weekend we threw her a party with her friends. The party venue charged over $250. The next day we celebrated with the grandparents. The dinner bill was over $100. Her actual birthday fell on a school day; we treated her to ice cream for around $20.
