How To Improve Your Sanity During the Covid Crisis

It’s unbelievable. While it seemed that life was about to finally get back to normal with the gradual opening of states, all of a sudden an uptick in COVID-19 cases has hit the country like a tidal wave. While many governors have vowed not to completely shut down states again many are still not fully opened. And, to…

To be sure, becoming an entrepreneur during a time when everything is uncertain might not be the best time to begin a business. Sometimes,…

The Subtle Art of Moving During the Holidays

We already know that the holidays while fun can also be one of the most stressful times of the year. There are decorations that need to be hung, relatives to host, presents to buy, food to prepare and ultimately expectations to uphold. Add all of that to moving and you just might lose your mind. Never fear,…

My 3 favourite moments in rain

One, I had submitted a sample project by using JSP, Php and Asp. The guy told me my work was great, I may get a job in the company which office is in the UK. I was in Bangladesh. I became so happy. Who doesn’t want a good job? I was returning home and rain started. It was raining heavily, and I was walking on the footpath, without an umbrella. Branches and leaves were…See More

Why are decisions like these made?

English is an international language. If you learn English, you can visit anywhere in the world.Kids, who are studying English from elementary schools, get higher studies easier than others. Now if you stop them from learning and make them study another language (Like Arabic, Bangla or French etc.) they will miss a huge part of learning. They won’t understand the news…See More

Why can’t I have it?

Playing with my mind. Trying to accept things easily, as it comes or didn’t come in my life.If I didn’t get anything, then there could be any of the two reasons behind it.One, I didn’t deserve it.Or two, the thing doesn’t deserve me. Either way, it is good for me and I must take it easy. The truth is I can’t do anything about it, so I better accept it happily, if I want to be happy.See More

Disturbance

When you are working on something with full concentration, something happens, or someone comes to you to distract you. How would you feel? These distractions give me a headache. I became angry, sometimes irritated, sometimes I misbehaved. My son, the poor boy had faced this so many times. But he has a patient. Still, he didn’t stop disturbing me, especially when I’m working. But later I found that…See More

14 Days

I have isolated myself for 14 days, due to Corona Pandemic. In these 14 days, I thought I will complete all my pending job. You can understand now, I couldn’t. But I did very few of them. For me, these 14 days passed just like a day. It's true that I’m not feeling well. But slowly I can do all the household work and so I did. As I’m working slowly, whenever I felt too bad, I laid down; so, at the end…See More

When do they meet?

I believe what Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay (novelist) said. “who is yours, will come to you by himself/herself”. Then I started thinking, what will happen if both people kept thinking that another person will come? They keep waited in two different places. How/when will they meet? Maybe, only a miracle can make it possible. That will be more interesting.See More

Taking control of food

I like food. But I always try to have control on it. Like I drink two cups of tea daily. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to take more, but you know, I can’t make it as an addiction. Sometimes I drink coffee. Again, not more than one cup/mug in a day. My home country is Bangladesh. So, obviously my main food is rice. But I take it in certain amount and once in a day.I break this food rule…See More

We should consider this situation

Meat is a very good source of protein. So, in hospitals, we should have Halal meat option. Because Muslim patients can’t take general meat. When I was in the hospital, I had been served Turkey sandwich, which I couldn’t take because it wasn’t Halal. But I could take the veg muffin.See More

Can’t expect to have anyone in life, forever.

You can’t depend on someone or something by hoping that the person or the thing will be there for you, forever. In my childhood whenever I was in pain, I use to run to the window. There was a tree beside the window. My silent friend, who was always there for me, always listened what I said, never left. I used to talk with it silently. I believed; it was listening to me.…See More

I can only talk, when I know the person is listening.

I don’t like to talk to any angry person. I better stay silent and let them think that they win. Sometimes I just say OK/Yes to make them calm down.In a conversation, if the other person gets angry, I can feel that the person is not able to think properly or give me a logical answer. They will just argue to win to feel better. I don’t want to argue a person like that.I…See More

Haters shouldn’t be responsible for health care.

I think, there is a major problem in Saskatoon hospitals. I went to the hospital about 3 times in 4 years. And I have seen it every time. There must be something that needs to improve.I had unbearable pain in stomach, I went to the ER in the hospital. There I had to wait for 4 hours with this pain before doctor can see me. While I saw a man vomiting continuously with…See More

Using bug spray in summer

In Canada, people, who lives long are mostly from Saskatchewan. They live more than 100 years. We can assume this area has the healthiest environment in the country. As far as I understand this area doesn’t have industries like other big cities. Here mostly we have prairie fields with crops. No wonder, in the healthy area’s bugs will be also be very healthy. When I first came here,…See More

Happiest moments
