I have been vacationing in Latin America and the Caribbean for 15 years. I’ve been in Mexico for New Year’s, spent Easter in Barbados and have dodged hurricanes in Tobago in October and the Caymans in August.… Continue

Every Wednesday, my posts will be focused on why we chose the things we do, have or believe. We'll call them "Why We Chose" Wednesdays. Hope you enjoy this little teaser...why we chose a dog.
These won't be the most popular words I ever write, but I have never in my life wanted a dog. I always found them to be gross, clumsy, not very cuddly, loud, messy and smelly. Now cats, on the other hand, I love. And until very recently, there was never a point in my life… Continue

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed lately and it's my own doing. I have become one of those over-scheduled moms who tries to do it all plus some...we have an activity for almost every day of the week, belong to a local mom's social group, play groups, I do laundry twice a week, keep a fairly clean house, and have this blog.
Now I have a job interview tomorrow. Yes a job interview
. I have been considering going back to work for some time now and sending resumes but with this… Continue

Last night, somehow my sweet son have said to me that Boys love you because I am beautiful mom and we do love dad too but he doesn't dress up like a girl like me. I thought it is funny and cute how he have said. They gave me a huge hug and kisses. I truly love my sons! That is something you could remember by what your kids have said to you and good memories with your kids knowing how special you are to your kids. I felt good knowing all I… Continue

Let me update you on all the baby momma drama that’s going on in our lives at the moment. It’s relatively quiet after the last fiasco. She hasn’t pulled more shizit.
The latest court date was scheduled for last week, but a big case came through and bumped hubby’s case from the docket. Good thing the lawyer told us this before 6 a.m. that morning so I didn’t stay up until 11 p.m. the night before looking for hubby’s 2008 tax return paperwork – or not.

I was sitting here watching my girls play, making a mess and just thinking to myself....how did I get here? How in the world did I get here?? If you told me 10 years ago I would live in a small tiny town in the Midwest with my four children, married and driving a mini van, I would have slapped you across your face!!…

Did you that learning to spell is closely linked with learning to talk, listen, read and write?
But, spelling can be difficult.
There are so many exceptions to common spelling rules and so many silent letters that it's easy to misspell words.
Helping your child with spelling can make all the difference.
A great place to start is with music.
Spelling songs are a really fun way of helping kids memorize common spelling… Continue

Colby and I are beach people. It’s one of the things I love about him. The concept of lying on a beach all day reading book after book is never a hard sell when it comes to vacation
time. The only thing we differ on
is the location of our beach chairs…I want mine in the sun and he wants his in
the shade…but I can work with that.

Before I get to my so-called Wordless Wednesday, I just had to give you all an update….because it’s over….so grab your shotguns, I’m puttin’ together a posse…..Punk Ass messed with the wrong little girl! Granted, I didn’t expect this to last long, & it’s not about her having been particularly emotionally attached….four days does not a relationship make! It has everything to do with the way this kid spoke to my… Continue

I'm in the mood for a fight. For those of you that know me well, you know that one of my biggest beefs since the onset of motherhood is how so many of us (mamas) are expected to be perfect. I've been known to admit to perfect strangers that my son hasn't had a bath in over a week, simply because I didn't feel like giving him one.I've also been known to bribe my eldest boy with chocolate at the grocery store at 9 AM. Continue
I've also been known to complain to the pharmacist (loudly)that…
