Why Should We Rent an Unfurnished Apartment

When you're looking for a new rental place, there are plenty of opportunities you could consider. There are different sizes of apartments and there are different extras included. It's a whole new and exciting world filled with many possibilities. The main decision every future tenant has to consider is if he prefers a furnished or unfurnished apartment. Of course, the…

STOP !!!!! DON'T KISS THAT BOO BOO !!!!!!

I worked in the optical industry for more than 20 years and I have seen children with minor to severe eye problems.  One of the more common problems was pinkeye.

We love our children and hate to see them suffer.  We want to kiss their boo-boos away so that they feel better.  Today, I watched a woman kiss her son on the eye while he itched and rubbed.  It appeared to be pinkeye.  I know what you are thinking. Eewwww!  I felt the same way but I understood.

 I explained to the mom…

How the Internet is turning today's parents into freaks

Sons, I had a "moment" this week after reading so much information online about parenting the "right" way according to "experts." I realized that I'm tired of trying to keep up with all the new research and decided I just want to follow my instincts and keep on loving you and believing in you and God's work in your lives. In other words, I've chosen faith over fear. Anyway, this is what I wrote:

Picture it: 1994. Jennifer, a stay-at-home mom, wakes up, makes a cup of coffee and…

MAKE YOUR OWN FRESH FRUIT ICE POPS!

How many parents are tired of hearing, “What’s that green stuff” or “I don’t like it?” It seems we have a better chance of getting our children to eat snacks loaded with refined sugar and preservatives than natural fruits or vegetables. Who can blame the kids though?

The effectiveness of guerilla marketing and the unrelenting presence of corporate food advertising have…

Health Guide for New Mom's

During pregnancy, a woman’s body concern moves from herself to her baby. Fertility and death and stuff

When I was 24 years old, I was sharing an elevator ride with a woman in her 40s. I had just met her about five minutes ago at a crafting event. She had been talking to her friends about getting pregnant. As soon as the elevator doors closed, she turned to me and asked, "You're in your twenties, right?" I said yes. "You should go ahead and freeze your eggs now, that way they will be good when you hit 40 and decide you are ready to have a…
