My husband and I began a recent night out with a run on a woodsy trail frequented by horseback riders, mountain bikers, other runners – and, apparently, Jeff’s boss.
I wouldn’t have minded unexpectedly bumping into my husband’s head of school, if Jeff hadn’t been wearing his knee-high, black, calf sleeves, overlaid with his favorite “Darn Tough Cool Max Micro Crew Cushion” socks. In addition, Jeff was rocking bright red shorts and a matching red visor, from the top of which…

I ate lunch in Brian’s car today by myself… with the windows down and K-Love blasting. The boys spent time working in the yard and I went to Jersey Mikes for a turkey & cheese sandwich (don’t tell me any lunch meat rules). I had a crisp, cold pickle on the side & I loved it. I only fed myself. No one talked to me. No one asked me for…

Last year, I was taken by surprise.
I went shopping for Halloween decorations in mid-October, only to be met by bare shelves, a couple of sad-looking skeletons and a few assorted window clings.
Primarily, I saw a lot of Christmas angels and sparkling candy canes.
I'm sure I had the same look of outrage on my face as when I went out looking for snow pants in November and found shelves of T-shirts and ads for bikinis. But that's a different story.
So this year,I…

Being that I have been suffering from the lovely depressive side of Bipolar lately, I tend to get very emotional about the people I love. Especially: My husband or as I refer to him as my "Knight in Dirty Work Boots" being that he is a Plumber and all, work boots are his "armor." Unless you want to call all the pipes and tools and works with his armor, so be it. …

Do you believe in ghosts? Hmmmm....
Through Hotwire.com we booked Silverado Resort and Spa. This place is beautiful and can be spendy. (Booking through Hotwire.com lessened the cost :-> ) The main part of the resort is a beautiful building, surrounded by a golf course, tennis courts, restaurant and spa across the street. The rooms are not so much hotel rooms as they are, what they call, cabanas. Each place has its own entrance, your own little home. We were escorted to…

I did not think through my song choices very well with Kinsey, and as a result, I am stuck singing “Day-O” about 3x per day on average. I introduced a David Crowder Song at bedtime, and that one works only at bedtime. Then, a couple weeks ago, Bryant and I started singing “Down by the Bay” in the car as we were driving across town, and our multi-part “repeat after me” rendition seemed to work quite nicely. However, now there are only two songs that will postpone a carseat freakout, and both…
