Slime Time!

Glue

Pour the 1/2 cup of warm water into the glue. You can use less. This is where it gets fun to play around with the amounts and how it changes the consistency. Keep the conversation, and laughs going with the kids.

Once the water is in, you can now add the Borax solution. You can see in the picture below, it immediately starts blobbing. Colin was not all for putting his hands in…

Ten Things Not to Ask Your Wife When You Come Home

Husband!

I am so happy you are home from work. Before you walk through the threshold here are some guidelines of what NOT to ask:

1. Wow, what happened here? Life, Life happened here. The minions came home from school, and the living room, kitchen, playroom, and all other applicable areas exploded. If I wanted to follow them around with a basket, vacuum, and trash can, I would. I’m doing my best dude.

2. Whats for dinner? Food, food that…

Hard Conversations: Discussing Death with a Child

Every once in awhile something happens with us, and I’m torn about writing it. As a blogger, I don’t want my blog to necessarily come off as doom and gloom, but these things do come up. So bear with me as I get this off my chest. Perhaps it will help another parent out there.

The anxiety that can fall on me going out with both kids, is daunting. I’m always expecting: the gimmees, a tantrum, a bathroom break (or two), and not enough caffeine. However, the kids really wanted to see Paddington, and so a promise was made. Without further ado, here is what I witnessed.…

Birthday Party, or not?

As the boys Birthday’s are drawing closer, I am starting to wonder if I actually want to throw a party or not. We have thrown Birthday Parties for the last 7 years. A few have been at our home, and a majority have been at other places. Here’s the thing: When did it become mandatory to throw these shindigs?! They are expensive as all get out!

We have attended a couple of parties here in our new town and, um, they take it up a…
