My little baby is growing up! I’ve been really holding on to him being my baby. He’s my last – no more babies in this family for 20 more years (pray to God), so it’s been really REALLY hard on me. The latest court date was scheduled for last week, but a big case came through and bumped hubby’s case from the docket. Good thing the lawyer told us this before 6 a.m. that morning so I didn’t stay up until 11 p.m. the night before looking for hubby’s 2008 tax return paperwork – or not.

My daughter had her first piano recital this past Saturday. She did an awesome. We were so afraid that she would end up chickening out or mess up and start crying on stage. Friday night hubby started talking to me about how he thought she shouldn’t sing – just play the piano (to make it easier on her). I was like, great – thanks for waiting until the night before to express your feelings.

Hubby got him a new girlfriend Monday night. A beautiful grill that he’s been dreaming about ever since we moved out of the depths of southern hell. See in southern hell we had a cheap little charcoal grill that he would use almost every day during the long humid summers. That beloved redneck grill barely lasted through the 3 summers we were there and we decided to leave it behind.

This past Friday we get a knock on our door around dinner time. We were about to head out for dinner and were surprised that someone was there. We live outside of the city limits, but still within a neighborhood. There isn’t any trash collection (let alone for recycling) or any other “city duties” where we live, but we can shoot our pistols and burn shit so it evens out. Hubby DOES NOT understand anything that I do on the internet – EVER. I am completely addicted to my Blackberry and way ADD with it. I get antsy when I’m not doing this with my hands – weird, right? My husband woke me up in the middle of the night yelling – “momma” while standing in my 2 ½ year old’s room in the midst of him all out crying. So, I immediately jump up and almost fell over my own feet among clothes and other crap that gets randomly thrown in the floor instead of put where it goes.
