DIY NonToxic Play Dough

Ellie is fond of baking nowadays and would often request for a baking session as soon as she opens her eyes. I am working on a project with my husband so I am kinda caught up and to keep her busy I got one recipe online for a homemade playdough!

This easy homemade playdough recipe uses common kitchen ingredients, is cheaper than store-bought playdough, and takes less than 10 minutes to make it will not take a lot of our time.

Read more about it on my blog :)…

Words of Affirmation for Ellie :)

How do you motivate your kids? What are the words of affirmation that you tell your little ones? Words have a powerful impact on us, adults - what more our toddlers who are still on the stage of development?

I want to share with you some of the words of affirmation that we tell my daughter :)

Buses and Trains : My Commuting Hacks

Did you know that COMMUTING is good for us? I’ve been commuting ever since I came here and that’s seven years ago and counting… so that means that even when I was still single I am used to riding buses and trains and taxi to go to places :) I don’t drive. I just don’t. I don’t have plans…

My MakeUp Essentials

So far these are the basics that I have with me. Next time I’ll be sharing with you my skin and hair care routine. I really don’t use expensive stuff – there are lots of unknown brands that will also give you the same results as the popular ones. As moms, we have to be wise and practical in so many things but we don’t have to forget our compromise self-care and staying beautiful inside and out.

Hello there!

Anyway having a toddler at home is an assurance that boring days are over. Ellie is up with different antics, jokes, and drama 24/7 and ever since she learned a lot of things  I never had any boring weekends.

So what do we usually do during weekends? Having a toddler at home guarantees activity-filled days.

Is parenting harder these days?

We have our own stories to tell when it comes to our journey to parenthood. My mother had her own stories about us growing up and her struggles too.

Now, that I have my own toddler to guide, I can’t help but wonder, is parenting harder these days?

what's in your kids plate today? :)

Toddler nutrition is important and as her parents – Ellie’s health is our topmost priority. We want her to grow strong inside and out and to be smart and to always have a positive outlook on life. It’s not just about the meals but on how we take good care of our kid’s total well-being that matters.

on mom wars and other online hating-bashing-crazy stuff.

Hating is very easy but why should we waste our life looking at the bad side, create unhappy memories and gather all the negative energies available on Earth? Seriously if you find yourself looking at other people’s business and you’re beginning to harbor hate in your hearts… then it’s time to assess your life and start focusing on improving your own. The grass will always be greener on the other side…. not unless you start watering your own garden instead of worrying and looking at others…

What are your toddlers up to and how are you coping?

I recently told my friends that I quit on tidying up our house.I cannot do it anymore. I quit. I know they say that let our kids be little…so I am letting Ellie be. For parents who got toddlers… I know that deep in your hearts you sincerely understand and you’re slowly nodding your head because you know…you know… what made me quit – tidying up.

Pillow Fort, Unicorn Ride plus other Make Believe Adventures.

UPDATE: Ellie is currently hooked with Boss Baby.

It was a relief! We memorized both songs and lines in Moana and even with eyes closed we know the scenes by heart. Who wouldn’t? We watched Moana and Maui for more than 100 times already. Now that Ellie is turning two, she can easily pick up words and phrases and one of the developments that we noticed is that she is into pretend play and make-believe. Just like Tim (the young boy in Boss Baby). In the story, Tim has a great imagination…

How to Soothe Yourself When Stress Comes Knocking.

We all have our own experiences with stress and when it is present, it affects every area of our life.

Have you ever been around someone who is always stressed and/or causing stress? They’re no happy camper. We’ve had our share of bad days from overloaded schedules, pressure from work, unpaid bills piling up, health problems within the family and other stuff that can take a toll on us emotionally and physically.

Early on in our marriage, we got really good at using each other…

Why We Love Parenthood (And You Should, Too!)

It is almost two years when we received God's greatest gift to us. 20 months today, Ellie, is our constant source of joy AND worry. Is it easy being a parent? NO. Is it a whirlwind of emotions that you're always worried if you're doing a great job? YES. Is it awesome, exciting and surprising in ways that even the most upsetting of days cannot be compared to the hugs and kisses? Definitely yes.

Parenthood is terror mixed with delight and wonder - a true representation of humanity.Tags…

CASTOR OIL for hair and skin care.

Last week I posted about the benefits of using rosewater. I shared these with my mom and few of my friends and got a good review about this cost-effective beauty ingredient. Today I want to tell you about two oils that we are using at home - Castor and Almond oil.

Toddler Care During Summer

Summer in the UAE is very different from summer time in the Philippines. Each season has its own charm and its own challenges. But whether it's here in Dubai or in Manila, summer still brings with it scorching sun and hot winds. It is a big change for the little ones (even adults too!) But do not fret. I want to share with you a summer care guide to keep us and our munchkin comfortable and cool this summer. Most of what's written here are advices from my mom, fellow moms and based on my…

[MrsTags reviews] Pockit Stroller

We don’t want to spoil Ellie when it comes to material things but we don’t want to sacrifice – quality, convenience and comfort that some material things offer. Recently we were in search for a compact, easy to expand and adjust stroller for her. The stroller that we got her makes her uncomfortable because the heat gets trapped on the pads making her sweaty and irritated most of the time. Don’t get me wrong we LOVE that …
