The other day, a friend of mine found out that someone she had done a blog makeover for went and used her code to make over someone else's blog. My friend found out when she checked in on the site she had done only to see "I just did this makeover" posted. She emailed the person and contacted the blog owner and was eventually compensated.
Once I was dropping entrecards and I noticed that one blogger had a post divulging someones contact information. The reason? He had been stealing…

I gotta tell you. I've been addicted to something (Coke Zero, bargains....) and I've worked with those who are addicted to stuff. Everyone is addicted to something.
According to a story that just ran on CNN, there are no statistics on "Facebook addiction" .
Social media addiction, as of now, isn't an actual medical diagnosis.
According to CNN, you know you're a Facebook addict when
1. You lose sleep over Facebook
2. You spend more than an…

I just read an article that says that there are more obese Americans than simply overweight.
The difference between the two being that obese is 20% more than the ideal weight.
This is according to the latest statistics from the federal government.
Numbers posted by the National Center for Health Statistics show that more than 34 percent of Americans are obese, compared to 32.7 percent who are overweight.Just under 6 percent are "extremely" obese.
"More than…

Back in 2007 a teenage
boy (15) was playing the game Halo 3 a little more than he needed to. So, his parents took the game away from him.The boy then
murdered his mother and wounded his father over it.
A judge ruled that the boy's
obsession with the violent video game may have warped his sense of reality.
"I firmly believe that Daniel Petric had no idea at the time he hatched this plot that if he killed his parents they would be dead…

It's something that most of us never thought about until we heard about new Federal Regulations which almost put an end to resale shops and garage sales.
The regulations go into effect February 10th limit the amount of lead and phthalates -- an additive that's used to make plastics soft -- in toys, clothes and other products for children ages 12 and under. Lead isn't safe at any level in children and can cause lifelong troubles including problems in learning and behavior. Phthalates…

About a month ago we were shocked to hear a story about an eight year old being charged with the shooting death of his father and another man.
Yesterday in Arizona, coincidentally, the same state as the eight year old, a 12-year-old boy who fatally shot his mother after an argument over his chores was found guilty of premeditated murder.
Prosecutors proved the boy acted intentionally and with premeditation when he shot hos mother eight times on August 1st. Mother and son…

Let's face it.
You probably will not become a millionaire by blogging.
But, it wouldn't be too bad to pay for a domain name by doing it.
Here are 5 things to keep in mind about advertising on your blog.
1. If your primary intent in blogging is to advertise and make money, don't do it.
Your primary intent for blogging should be to write. When bloggers get focused on the money aspect it is obvious to the readers. Nothing can cheapen your site more or…

Yep, it's that time of year again. You know, after eating, not always the best food items, and drinking, not always the best stuff, it's time to repent for our intake sins.
We always start off in January in a retrospective mode. That is, we are 'actively' mapping out how we are going to change the things in our lives we feel need changing. Usually, that is our diet and finances.
So what goes wrong and makes us have to repeat this January tradition every… Continue

1. We are grateful for those days
during winter break when we can get little things done around the house.
2. We are grateful for the tracks of
wet/muddy shoes and paw prints that emerge through our entryway.
3. We are grateful for the
happiness that we feel from the aroma of an $8 candle.
4. We are grateful for the
moments we enjoyed baking cookies despite the fact that we will be dieting them off soon.
5. We are grateful…

I just read an article
from Real Simple about tech etiquette.
I'm not sure that I've ever seen the do's an don'ts actually written out. It just seems like tech etiquette is just a bunch of unwritten rules concerning what we consider to be the norms. But then again, the tech world is…

Over the past year, I have noticed that mom blogging has evolved. This is great because it means that it is something that we enjoy doing and may keep doing for years to come.
Here are 10 trends that I have noticed in 2008
1. We blog about things besides our family.
2. Random ideas, that you would talk about to your gal pals, are often a blogging topic.

This is probably the wrong time to bring this topic up, but, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) has updated their guidelines for kids- as young as 2.
The Dietary Guidelines describe a healthy diet for adults as one that;
Emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products;
Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts; and

Here we go again.
The weight gain---loss seesaw.
This time it isn't necessarily our weight with the issues: it's Oprah's.
Seems like it was maybe three diets ago for Oprah, two for me, that she appeared on stage in 1988 lugging around animal fat with a weight equivalent to what she lost. It was 67-pound weight loss and she was wearing a pair of size 10 Calvin Klein jeans. She promised herself to never gain it back.
Been there. Done that.
It's about…
