Thanksgiving Planning

When I was growing up, Thanksgiving at my Grandmother's was always a huge deal. The entire family got together - my mother has seven siblings, and all of my aunts, uncles and cousins were always there for Thanksgiving. My Grandmother woke up before dawn to start cooking the turkeys, and all of the pies and sides were from scratch. Two rooms full of food and desserts on a table near the porch - it was definitely a sight I'll cherish in my memory forever.

Best Mother's Day Ever!

This weekend will be the best Mother's Day ever (until I celebrate my first as a mother, of course). Since moving away, I haven't spent Mother's Day with my own mom. She texted me and my sister a couple of days ago saying that all she'd like this year is a one way ticket to Houston so she could be sure to be here for Baby Munn's birth. My sister got right online and got her a ticket, and she will be here tomorrow!

The Bump, Week 36

Ugh. Miserable. All of the uncomfortableness that I've always heard comes along with pregnancy hit this week. There is no comfortable position for standing, sitting, lying...even hot baths aren't any help!
