Let's face it; menopause is a natural part of aging for women. Most start to experience the transition in their late 40s or early 50s, but some start having menopausal symptoms earlier. Our experts are recommending exceptional menopause products that make a difference to buy in 2021.

Changes To Look For

Menopause means the absence of your period for one year or 12 months, and the symptoms can vary. For example, some women get hot flashes, gain weight, and experience irregular periods.

Others deal with chills, sleep problems, mood changes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness.

1. Sleepwear

If you've ever awakened with your clothing soaked during the night, then you would understand the shivering that followed and getting up to change your pajamas.

There is sleepwear for menopausal women that has been specially designed to wick away moisture from the body. The lovely fabrics also feature lightweight polyester, which is used in active gear to keep the body comfy and dry.

The sleepwear comes in attractive styles, from nightgowns to pajamas and shortie sets.

2. Intimate Moisturizer

Vaginal dryness is something women of all ages can encounter, but it is significantly more common during menopause. The dryness can result in many ways, including extreme exercise, birth control pills, ovarian issues, cancer therapy, etc.

During menopause, estrogen levels can cause the vagina's intimate tissue to become thinner, dryer, and more easily irritated and cause uncomfortable sexual intercourse.

Most women are looking for an intimate moisturizer that comes from natural remedies for vaginal dryness. These formulas are made without hormones, avoid alcohol and toxic ingredients, and be applied as a feminine lubricant or gentle moisturizer.

3. Supplements

There are tons of products out there sold over-the-counter as menopause relievers, but not all of them provide real benefits. However, scientific research has pointed to two excellent supplements for toning down the symptoms menopausal women often suffer. They include black cohosh and soy isoflavones from soybean or red clover sources.

According to NYC OB-GYN and author of the book "The Change Before the Change," Dr. Laura Corio recommends taking 40 milligrams of black cohosh daily for no more than six months at a time.

Also, Corio advises taking 50 milligrams a day of soy isoflavones to help reduce hot flashes for women who haven't had a period for one year.

Of course, there is always hormone replacement therapy (HRT) you can consider. Your doctor can help guide you on this course. Some women have concerns about HRT and would prefer a more natural regimen, and cohosh and soy isoflavones are worth looking into.

4. Anti-Aging Serum

Many of us dream of maintaining firm, supple skin with fewer lines and wrinkles as we reach menopause. The good news comes from beauty science, and there are many incredible anti-aging products you can apply for a more youthful face and neck.

Two of the gold standards involve Retin-A, a prescription of the vitamin A derivative, and a stable form of vitamin C serum. These proven skincare components do an impressive job of brightening the complexion, encouraging the production of fresh collagen, and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Another newer ingredient making beauty headlines is that of white pine bark extract made from natural compounds. White pine is sourced from some of the oldest living trees in Europe for its excellent skin care benefits.

White pine bark extract used topically has been recommended for women in menopause because it can improve the volume in the skin for firmness and plumpness on the facial contours. The ingredient also increases the production of collagen to keep the skin elastic.

This pine bark extract also helps to improve age spots and uneven pigmentation.

A small 2012 study on postmenopausal women discovered that pine bark extract improved the hydration and elasticity of the skin.

Menopause is a natural part of the life cycle. For decades, the topic of menopause was one of silence, and not much was being discussed. However, that has changed significantly, and today, some beautiful products can keep you balanced from head to toe.
