5 Immune-boosting foods for your kids during the pandemic

COVID-19 has created an enormous pandemic all over the world. This deadly virus is affecting a vast portion of the world’s population. It is more affecting the kids and the aged people of a family. To prevent oneself from such a pandemic virus, they must boost their immunity system and the same applies to the kids.

Immunity system helps them to keep one’s body protected from germs and infection. Every kidhas a different immunity system. Because of this reason, when two people are exposed to a certain kind of infection, one gets easily affected, and the other remains immune. That is why kids and older people are getting more affected due to corona. Their immune system is weaker than the grownup people. To improve one’s immunity, they can follow a healthy diet, exercise, meditate, and practice healthy habits. There are many high immunity-boosting foods that we can add in the kid’s regular meal to improve their immunity.

Onion and garlic boost one’s immune system. They have antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. Sulfur in them helps the liver to function properly and works as a great immunity booster. Garlic also has antioxidant and anti-tumor particles.

Turmeric is a herb that helps in detoxifying the human body. It helps to enhance the immune system.Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant elements. It is very good for diabetic patients as it reduces chronic hyperglycemia effects from body cells.

  1. Fruits

Most of the fruits have vitamin C, like kiwi, oranges, lemons, guavas, strawberries, papaya, and others. They help in producing white blood cells and strong antibodies that protect our body against infections. Watermelon is another fruit that helps to improve our health. It has vitamins A, C, and potassium. It also provides glutathione and vitamin B6.

Fishes like salmon, tuna, and mackerels have omega-three fatty acids. This helps the white blood cells to be more active. Fishes contain some very healthy fats that help to boost up one’s immunity system very rapidly. Fishes contain a high amount of protein, which makes our body stronger.
