5 Reasons Why You Always Want to Sleep

You have an established schedule, go to bed at exactly the same time, don’t eat up at night, don’t take the phone with you to bed but still always want to sleep and can’t wait to hug the pillow in the evening. Perhaps the reason lies not in the absence of a regimen and maybe your constant drowsiness is caused by medical reasons. We have collected several diseases that are invisible at first glance but can lead to a feeling of fatigue.

1. Food Intolerance

Perhaps you have a hidden allergy or intolerance to certain foods that you are not aware of. Experts say that most women experience serious drowsiness immediately after lunch and this may be a reaction to inappropriate foods. The reaction can even manifest itself from those products that seem useful. To see if a particular food affects you, you can visit a doctor to get a blood test and choose the best food combinations that suit your physiology.

2. Low Blood Sugar

Do you skip breakfast and often too busy for lunch? All this leads to a drop in blood glucose, which means it causes a decrease in energy. Low blood sugar is a common cause of daytime sleepiness. This often happens if you skip meals or replace them with high-sugar foods. The body works best when blood sugar levels are stable throughout the day. This is what gives energy.

To even out the balance, take small snacks with you to regularly replenish the sugar level, even if there is not enough time for a full dinner.

3. Apnea

Have you ever heard a sudden and frighteningly long pause in someone's breathing during their sleep? Then the person exhales air with force and everything is restored. This can happen dozens or even hundreds of times per night and this leads to extreme fatigue during the day.

In this case, the organs that consume a large amount of oxygen are affected which are primarily the brain and heart.

4. Anemia

Constant fatigue can also be a signal for you to check your hemoglobin in the blood. A low level of iron leads to a decrease in the number of red blood cells. Anemia is often associated with diet and occurs in those who do not eat a lot of foods rich in iron or suffer from chronic pains and frequent infections. If you notice this symptom, you must immediately consult the best primary care doctor.

5. Narcolepsy

One of the rare causes of daytime sleepiness is a neurological disorder called narcolepsy. This most often happens due to genetic inheritance, so a medical history of your parents can help. This syndrome also can be caused by serious head trauma or a strong emotional reaction to something. Narcoleptics not only constantly want to sleep but can seriously lose control of their muscles.
