Stress is how our bodies respond to new situations. It can motivate us to avoid danger or keep us alert. However, when our bodies are constantly in a state of stress, we unknowingly damage our bodies.

An essential oil diffuser is a gadget where the essential oil is mixed with water and diffused into the air like a mist. The smells of the oils put people into a relaxed state which is how essential oil diffusers reduce stress.

Although there are over 90 different essential oils, some of the best essential oils for use in an oil diffuser are:

  • Lavender

Lavender oil is one of the most popular essential oils. It promotes relaxation and helps with insomnia, eczema, nausea, and menstrual cramps. Lavender oil also has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial properties.

  • Bergamot

Bergamot oil is an oil from the rinds of citrus fruit and has a citrusy fragrance. It is often added to hair and other beauty products like lotions and body scrubs.

  • Ylang Ylang

Ylang-ylang oil is from flowers and used on the skin to promote relaxation, kill bacteria, lower blood pressure, and increase sexual desire.
