If you want to gauge the age of a person, look at their neck and throat area. It will often give away their true age. A double chin signals that you have loose skin and poor muscle tone--not just excess fat. So, consider what you can do to firm up and tone the skin of your neck leaving it soft, smooth and supple.

Neck and Throat Exercises

The Ageless website states it can help to reduce the signs of a crepey sagging neck skin area - so reminiscent of a turtle’s neck. It recommends six FREE neck and throat exercises. Why not pass on the surgical facelift, and check out the exercise suggestions?  Facial and neck exercises improve the appearance of saggy skin, double chins and loose skin on your neck. They make you look years younger. Ageless recommends you do these exercises once a day for at least a month, and then you can drop to three times per week, if desired.

Drink Water - Avoid Caffeine

Simply drinking water helps keep your neck supple with a plump, glowing skin tone. Our necks need elasticity and flexibility like no other part of the body, because we constantly turn our heads. Counter the inevitable sag by keeping the skin plumped up with plenty of water. Most health experts recommend eight cups of water per day. Avoid caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea and sodas. 1st Holistic website states that these drinks deplete energy, increase wrinkles and work against your efforts to curb the signs of premature aging.

Avoid white flour and sugar as well as the things made from them. Instead, the 1st Holistic website recommend a diet rich in fruits, grains, honey, milk, nuts, seeds, vegetables, vegetable oils, yeast, and yogurt. Inner health will show on the skin of your face and neck. So, eat right and let your natural beauty shine through.

Skin Care Products

You should use the same skin care regimen you normally use on your face on your neck and throat area. But, keep in mind that your skin has a 21- to 28-day life cycle. So, use your skin care products on the neck area for at least three weeks consistently. After three weeks, you may begin to see significant changes. If you are inconsistent or stop too early, you jeopardize the potential these cleansers, toners and moisturizers have of rejuvenating the look of your neck and throat.
