I stole the idea for this photo from my friend Holly. She posted a picture of these trees on Facebook, saying that she loves her neighborhood. I live nearby and I found myself walking down the same path this afternoon with my girls. The trees remind me of the cherry blossoms in DC:

We were in DC this time last year to see the cherry blossoms, to visit my in-laws for Easter, and to announce the good news that I was pregnant for the second time. My how life changes in a year! Thankfully, this year I had no news to report. And no one is happier than my mother. It’s funny how we (girls) spend years trying not to get pregnant, and then one day the only prize worth fighting for is a baby. But now I have two girls and my mother is thinking, “NO MORE PRIZES!” Don't get me wrong though—I would pass out cold if I found out I was pregnant again. And then I would toss my head in a vat of wine.
