Common Health Risks posed by presence of Molds.

The presence of moisture and dampness is a great breeding area for growth and yeast. This can be either outside or inside the house. Some of the most prone areas in the house are the kitchen surfaces, bathroom and on clothes if they do not dry completely. Everything has its own share of advantages and disadvantages. For mold, it can be very harmful if it grows inside a house, but it is very helpful if it grows outside environment. It is very important in breaking down of dead organic matters like the fallen leaves.

Mold is never harmful until it grows in your house. The growth of mold is often facilitated by lack of enough ventilation, water leakages and any form of moisture. Molds can bring about allergic conditions that come up when the molds are inhaled or even touched. You are at a worse condition when you have issues with your respiratory system. It is very advisable that you should get help of  mold inspectors so that they can detect and remove before these molds can cause any harm to you and your family.

In addition to allergies, moulds pose a lot of health risks and if not detected and treated at early stages, it may worsen your immune system. Some of the major health risks that come up are:

  1. There are higher chances of asthma attacks that result from the alteration of your immune and respiratory system. Also, it affects the infants and may trigger asthmatic conditions in them that may become a difficult situation to live with for the rest of their lives.
  2. There is presence cold and flu symptoms such as running nose, presence of sore throat, fever, etc.
  3. There is a great risk of having problems with the respiratory system, e.g. the chest tightens, there is severe nose bleeding as well as wheezing.
  4. The victim of the yeast infection is at a risk of having memory loss and hair loss. In addition, there is a continuous fatigue accompanied with a lot of muscle aches.
  5. Also, there is a steady development of learning disabilities.

Although most of these health risks are not major, such as cold and flu, the risk is higher if the individual has some issues with the immune system and these infections can cause big problems.  This is the reason why you should keep your house surfaces dry and free from moistures to avoid these health conditions that may come up.
