'Connect With Nature Through Art' Cave Paintings

This week, at the ‘Connect With Nature Through Art’ class, learned all about cave paintings. We made paint with dirt and butter and we even played shadow tag at the end.

 
This week, at the ‘Connect With Nature Through Art’ class, learned all about cave paintings. We made paint with dirt and butter and we even played shadow tag at the end. When we got back to the table, the kids mixed about 2 tablespoons of butter with their dirt till the paint was like a thick paste. I gave them some cardstock, paintbrushes and popsicle sticks. I suggested they paint a portrait of their family or something in their life that was important to them just like the people who lived in caves would have.
