I was watching one of the many morning shows today and they had a nutritionist on talking about how we should have portion control during our Thanksgiving feast, keep track of calories, substitute butter with bark...blah, blah, blah!
Look I am all for being healthy but really, it's Thanksgiving, I don't want to drag around a little notebook writing down every single calorie that I consume or check how many points I have gone over or have a scale in my back pocket and weigh each portion out. I am going to indulge in all the glorious foods feeling 100% guilt free. I am going to slap on an extra spoonful of whip on my pumpkin pie slice. And last but not least, I am going to cherish every moment with my boys and our dear friends, we are going to eat, drink (adults only) and be merry! Not constantly thinking about how many calories I just shoveled down my throat.
I am looking forward to my 6 week post-op appointment so Dr.H can give me the go ahead to start working out again but I am going to enjoy the holiday season Peppermint Mocha and all! The treadmill will still be there in January;-)
