Little A honestly has the attention span of a gnat. All throughout the day, he's fluttering from activity to activity, quickly growing bored and heading off to the next one. He's such a little scientist, constantly learning about and exploring everything around him. With characteristics like these, it's easy to say that I'm always having to come up with new ways to, not only teach him about things he knows nothing about, but to have fun doing it!

Babies learn so much through touch. They learn about different textures, different temperatures, and so much more about the world around them. I remember making a version of this cornstarch slime when I was in middle school, so I was super excited to give it another try. This is a great recipe because it's safe for baby skin, but it's a wonderful sensory activity that can keep them occupied.

I just took
1/2 box cornstarch
1/4-1/2 c. water

You want to mix to a thick, liquid consistency. The cool thing about this slime is that it's a solid when it's in one place. If you pour it on a table, or hold it in your hands, it turns hard. But, open your fingers and watch the slime drip! You could also add food coloring to this if you want.

After a little coaxing from mommy, little A had this stuff all over his hands. He thought it was so much fun! I really enjoyed watching him explore the different textures, from wiggling his fingers in the goop, to poking it on the table.

Until next time,
