Family Improv Workshop

Improv comedy is engaging and interactive which makes it perfect for kids! This class is taught by a long time improv professional in the area, Karla Dingle. Whether you're simply curious about improv or you're a long time Whose Line fan who is totally ready to take the stage, this is sure to be an entertaining activity for families to enjoy.

It's becoming more and more apparent that STEM careers are the future. If you have children who are interested in computers and technology, this is an excellent event to check out. They will be teaching skills at a pleasant pace! It's worthy to note that you have to bring a laptop along, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Summer Festival 2018

This is a little bit of a drive from Charlotte, but it's sure to be worth it! This is a completely free event with food, giveaways, face painters, games, arts, and crafts, as well as a singing contest. That's not the only content that will be happening, as there will also be a tug of war game and push up contest for those who are competitive. Stick around for the dance performances from local youth dance teams!
Fireworks on July 4
WBT Skyshow Charlotte & Charlotte Knights

This is Charlotte's premier fireworks display with the best views and biggest explosions! In fact, it's one of the largest choreographed shows in the entire country. The display starts right about the Knights finish playing Durham at the ballpark. The street festival surrounding the event will have tons of vendors and activities to enjoy!
USNWC Fourth of July Celebration
at the U.S. National Whitewater Center
5000 Whitewater Center Parkway
3PM to 11PM
This is a two-day festival that begins on Tuesday! It features yoga, live musical entertainment, outdoor adventures on the trails surrounding the center, and a great fireworks display on the fourth. The performances on the River Jam Stage will be followed by the show, so be sure to get here early and pick a good spot!
