Friendly foods which help in Weight Loss

Did you know certain foods help you in losing weight? Our body is made by what we eat and if we eat in an intelligent manner, we can make eating a weight loss weapon. There are many foods which are rich in pectin and fibre and are natural fat burners. They not only help in weight loss, but also boost your metabolism. Here are some of the foods which you should start eating for losing weight:-

Green leafy vegetables: - The best examples of Leafy green vegetables are kale, collards, spinach, lettuce and many others. They possess certain characteristics that make them a perfect food for weight loss. The best part is these are full of fibre, but have a lower content of both carbohydrates and calories. Eating green leafy vegetables is a great way to enhance the meal volume, without having an increase in the calories.

Oily fish- If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have salmon for losing weight as it is incredibly healthy. It keeps you full for sufficient hours with relatively low calorie content. Salmon contains Omega-3 fatty acids, which are known for reducing inflammation, which plays a major role in causing obesity. Other oily fish like herring; trout etc. are also beneficial for weight loss.

Oats- Oats are a great way to reduce weight. They are rich in fibre and low in calories. It is a lighter meal but at the same time keeps your tummy full. It is best to choose oats as a high energy breakfast. Some studies have shown that one can reduce 2-3 kgs of weight in a week by surviving on only oats. One can prepare them in a variety of ways to avoid boredom.

Cruciferous Vegetables- The best example of Cruciferous vegetables are cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. Their specialty is that they are high in fibre and are quite filling. They even contain a decent quantity of protein, even though not as higher as in animal foods. But compared to other vegetables, they are the richest in protein. They are a perfect combo of fibre and protein, which makes them a perfect weight loss weapon.
