Giving birth to a baby turned me into a cook.

Cooking isn’t always one of my favorite things to do. I appreciate good food. I love fresh ingredients. New dishes are always fun to consume. What I haven’t always loved is the time it takes to do it well.

Fortunately, my husband never pressed the issue after we got married. He knew when he married me, he was marrying someone a little more focused on other things. But through the years, and watching him bring new spices in the room for me to smell, or getting excited over a new dish he was trying, the chore started looking like less of one.
