This time of year is always a great time for me because I get to break out the spring colors and celebrate my birthday. As the years have passed, the celebrations have gotten smaller but my enthusiasm for my special day has not dampened with age.
This year, I thought that I would celebrate my birthday a little differently. Instead of compiling my list of things that I want in gift bags, I decided that I would give away some of the things that I cannot live without. It’s my birthday gift to RMC’s loyal readers.
On my birthday, my child has gotten up early for the past two years to make waffles with me. As much as we love a short cut, we do the real thing on birthdays. So my first birthay giveaway item is a waffle maker. If you don’t have one of these you don’t know what you are missing! You will love it. You can make waffles, eggs, bacon and have it on the table within a half hour.
Nothing says love like chocolate chip waffles in the morning!
“Thank you sweetheart for making waffles with mommy this morning.”
In my post, I have made no secret that I love a good glass of wine. My birthday celebration would not be complete without it. So my second giveaway item is a great wine glass so everyone will know it’s my birthday! Everyone needs one of these in their cabinet for special occasions. Guys get involved. The colors are neutral!
Living in England has taught me that the weather is questionable more than it is beautiful. Outside grilling weather is not always as guaranteed as it is in the United States. I have learned the value of indoor grilling. On my birthday, I normally take a step back from exercising and have a nice juicy piece of beef. This year, my daugther has decided we are having hamburgers. Since she is in charge of the birthday dinner, burgers it will be. Did I mention plain burgers with no condiments? So my birthday dinner wish will be for lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and pickles. That is not normally on her menu.
To end my special day, nothing says, “Happy Birthday!” better than popcorn and a movie with my favorite, little girl.
To win one of my favorite birthday items, drop me a line!
Here is hoping that my birthday leaves you celebrating with one of my favorite things.
