Sadly, many couples are ending up divorced because they have not learned the tools necessary to create a long-lasting relationship. While many families attempt to make it work with counseling or therapy, nothing seems to be able to help keep their bond together. Unfortunately, this leaves most moms raising their kids alone without being able to rely on their partner to help raise the kids or manage some of the daily chores. Because of this, many single moms are now turning to life coaches as someone they can help get support from.

What is a life coach?

In the last twenty years, coaching has gotten to be synonymous with people like Tony Robbins as someone who can motivate you to achieve your goals. But in in the last five to ten years, a life coach has evolved as someone who can support you along your life journey and help you in many areas of your life including health, finances, relationships, self-discipline, career, organization, time management, and more.

Simply put, a life coach is someone who can help you manage every area of your personal and professional life to ensure that you are on the right track. Think of it in this way: it’s someone you can check in with to make sure that you are getting what you want from life and that you are being as productive as possible.

Moms need help

While single moms have become notorious for being able to “do it all”, we all know many of them are suffering and struggling both mentally and emotionally. Even “those super moms” who seem to be able to do it all are still struggling. Sure, they may seem strong on the outside. But ask any one of them privately and they will all confess that they are having a difficult time and want some help.

How can a life coach help you?

First and foremost, finding a life coach who can help you is going to provide you some much needed time to reflect on a weekly basis. It’s when you can call a timeout and check in with yourself to see how things are going. Very often many woman find themselves overwhelmed and frustrated because they just keep pushing forward even though they may have some issues they have bottled up. So by working with a coach, it will provide you that time to release it all and to make sure you are truly using your time as best as possible.

Second, a coach will work with you to make sure that you are still doing things for your own happiness. Why is this so important? Because so many parents lose themselves in their to-do list and give endlessly to others that they forget about themselves. Unfortunately, this will eventually leave mom feeling burnt out and resentful. So your coach will make sure that you continue to do things that make you happy so that you feel invigorated to excited to continue giving to others.

Lastly, your coach is going to make sure that you have clarity about what it is you want to accomplish both as a mom and as an individual. Because so many parents lose themselves in being a mom, they can find themselves later on lost because they no longer have their own identity. As a mom, it is important that you retain your individual spirit so that you have that perspective which allows you to be a more well-rounded person and therefore makes you a better parent.

So don’t go it alone.

Find a life coach who can help you along your journey as a single parent.
