When you have a toddler, mealtime can be a battle of wills. Toddlers can be finicky eaters and having ways to make mealtime fun is a definite plus for your child and for you.

We recently received a Yumkin Pie Fix-a-Meal Tool-like Stainless Steel Cutlery Set to review. It is the most adorable cutlery set, and is BPA and PVC free. The handles of the spoon, fork, and knife resemble cute, colorful tools and are made from high-grade silicone. The silicone is soft and bendable, making the utensils perfect for little hands to grip.

While this cutlery set mimics tools and might be ideal for little boys it is definitely a unisex product that girls and boys will appreciate.

“We tried to make the colors gender neutral, and even though tools are usually associated with boys, we’ve had many customers with little girls tell us how thrilled their kids were with our set,” the manufacturer disclosed to us.

The quality of the stainless steel is also very high. The stainless steel grade is 18/10 which is regarded as one of the safest and sturdiest food-grade stainless steels. We also noticed that the cutlery is even thicker than a normal cutlery set which is good because we all know how little ones have their way of destroying everything.

The set is designed to transition kids from the clumsy “kiddy” cutlery to regular cutlery. This creates a dilemma, because at the same time the cutlery must be safe and practical for the targeted audience. Much time and thought was put into this. The knife is deliberately blunt, but it is capable of cutting soft objects, and also fulfills the function of aiding the use of a fork.

The fork was also designed with care. It is not as pointy as an adult fork, but at the same time is not a “spork”, which are notorious for frustrating little ones with their inability to successfully capture food. The spoon is also modeled like regular cutlery, but you won’t find your child spluttering up their soup after too big of a gulp.

We personally love this little cutlery set because not only is it cute, sturdy, and safe, it is also brilliant and fun and is sure to keep children happy during mealtime. The cutlery set is also dishwasher safe. We love the feel of the silicone handles especially since they are soft and bendable. The set is also extremely affordable. The pricing is $9.78 after a 10% discount, exclusive for Mom Bloggers Club members. Use promo code XLSV4MOM to buy yours from Amazon. Amazon Prime members also get to enjoy free two-day shipping.
